Please, why is the cost of air passenger freight cheaper than air cargo? Not sure which air passenger is cheaper in terms of cargo? There are a lot of brokerage services (unishippers is another very popular among nationals) that simply transfer their negotiated rates, as Freighteo does. There is quite a large variation between runners' rates, depending on their rates and the part they are taking. There will be duties, brokerage, and taxes (if applicable). However, UPS will bill you for this, which is the advantage: you don't need to use another party.
I can't confirm with UPS China if the price they give me for 1 kg includes all duties, brokerage and taxes. They should be able to arrange for pick-up by FedEx. Your supplier must be familiar with the procedure for using a customer account; however, make sure your FedEx number can accept shipments to China. However, FedEx has a spot rate program outside of Asia and many times its door-to-door rate is much better than that of carriers. The FedEx experience is always better and the extra spending with FedEx contributes to discounts I get in country.
Totally agree: FedEx (and most couriers) can have good rates if you negotiate. For air courier service how do I pay fees and fees? I pay for shipping through my supplier and they gave me a quote but I'm not sure if that includes all fees. What are surprise fees? The courier will normally give you an invoice upon delivery. If I choose Air Express Shipping (DDP), my supplier will include duties and tariff rates in their quote correct? Can I have my provider send DDU or DAP by air? Yes it can be difficult to get suppliers even send DDP as they are used FOB and EXW; I never tried DDU or DAP with them.
